Legendary Swedish remixer and producer SoundFactory has worked his magic pon de ‘Survivor’ by Helena Paparizou. Yes, the campest song of the year so far now has a club remix. Perfect!
In truth, it actually lacks the utter BANG that we were hoping for. It’s still an all fired up version of the song, that is perfect for certain kinds of dance floors (gay ones, basically). But it’s just not as OTT as we would have liked. And if anything, feels like it’s holding back somewhat, in an effort to come across as not too ridiculous. But this is SURVIVOR for heaven’s sake, it’s supposed to be ridiculous.
We’re being too harsh on it though. And we’ll blatantly be giving it plenty of spins in the coming months.
The whole thing has mercifully been synched to the Melodifestivalen performance video too, so that’s nice.
