Army of Lovers stalwarts La Camilla and Dominika, have once again teamed up with Stockholm based drag act Miss Inga, to record and release a single. This time though, they’ve even coined a moniker for themselves – the delightful Happy Hoes.
After last summer’s ‘Don’t Try To Steal My Limelight‘, their profile is somewhat bigger this time around, thanks to La Camilla’s stint on Let’s Dance. Like last year’s single, ‘We Rule The World’ is another kitsch and camp slice of pop. More melodramatic and ME ME ME lyrics. Feather boa fun. It’s got an 80’s disco production and a schlager-esque topline, so it’s hardly breaking any molds anywhere down the line. But it’s an enjoyable effort all the same. We’d welcome more Happy Hoes in the future.
