Swedish POP duo Glorious Inc have been all quiet for a bit of an age haven’t they? Well this morning they dropped a stealth new single and video. It’s ‘Catalyzer’.
Sound-wise it’s like they’d never been away. It’s the Glorious Inc we recognise and remember from all of their previous output – so that’s good. We wouldn’t want them to go changing on us.
In the early days they used to go on about how much K-Pop inspired their sound. We don’t actually listen to K-Pop, so we can’t tell if ‘Catalyzer’ is a continuation of their obsession. But that middle eight certainly does sound quite Asian interest, so perhaps they’re still looking to the East as their source of influence. Either way, it’s electro spazz-out dancepop. The good sort.
