Swedish pop gent Getty Domein has just released a brand new single, ‘Dance With The Devil’. Following his Melodifestivalen debut ‘Yeba’, and his Taio Cruz-esque follow-up ‘Echo’.
It’s utterly ridiculous, but credit where it’s due – utterly amazing too.
There’s a lot going on in these three minutes. It sounds like four songs rolled into one – each part as good as the last. But our absolute favourite part is that instrumental bit that serves as a post-chorus. The length of it, hints towards it having been in contention for Melodifestivalen at some point. And if that’s the case then it’s a real shame that it didn’t make it. It’s better than his 2010 entry ‘Yeba’, and it’s certainly on a par if not better than the entry of its ilk from this year – Behrang Miri’s ‘Jalla Dansa Sawa’.
It’s a riot, a hoot, and a blast. And totally barmy with it. Love it.
