Swedish sister folk-duo First Aid Kit have announced what will be the next single from their new ‘Stay Gold’ album. They’ve gone with ‘Master Pretender’.
Style-wise it’s your standard First Aid Kit track. If you’ve loved what’s come before, then you’ll know what to expect and you’ll love this one too. We must say though that ‘Master Pretender’ is up there with one of their better ones. And as track 2 on their album, it’s already done a good job of setting the album up as a thoroughly enjoyable listen many times for us.
Would you believe it though – they say “shit” and “fuck” on this one!
This one’s also a bit special because of the production intricacies that make themselves known after the first chorus, continue surprising throughout the second verse – and then lord over the song for its extended outro. That’s probably our fave bit. Even better than them swearing.
