Felix Cartal feat. Maja Ivarsson: ‘Tonight’

Swedish singer Maja Ivarsson has given her vocals to a corker of an electropop track that’s had its video released this week. The frontwoman of Malmö based band The Sounds turns in a treat on ‘Tonight’ by Canadian producer Felix Cartal.

It’s an instantly catchy number thanks to her rousing and attention grabbing vocal which delivers an equally rousing and attention grabbing melody. Do also keep an ear out for the utterly bonkers instrumental middle eight too.

Maja Ivarsson is gonna be gearing herself for a lot of exposure this autumn, as she’s appearing on the new series of Så Mycket Bättre in Sweden.  She’ll be joining the likes of Darin and Miss Li in singing cover versions of the other guests tracks each week – and in the wake of September and Laleh’s success in previous years, also keeping a close eye out on whether or not the songs can go on to become monster hits in Sweden too.

For now though, here’s ‘Tonight’. The track was released as a single with a hefty remix EP just a couple of weeks back. And it’s out worldwide too, music buying fans.
