It seems like new music is coming out more frequently and reliably than ever before these days. To a large extent, this is because new artists can now upload music in a huge variety of ways. From putting new videos on Youtube, to spreading the word via Soundcloud or Facebook, artists can get their music out all over the world without ever signing with record labels. That makes it easy for us fans – all we need to do is pick up some great audio equipment at MySmartBuy, surf the Internet, and find the new music we like.

Of course, it’s still nice to have rating systems and reviews to help us sift through the thousands of artists out there so that we can find the real treasures. So with that in mind, here are some of the hottest European pop albums currently featured on iTunes – some representing classic artists, some highly anticipated returns, and some marking debuts for new groups. Enjoy!

“A” by Agnetha Faltskog

This Swedish artist is best known as a member of the world famous pop group ABBA, but has enjoyed a return to public life in the last few years. This return has culminated in 2013 with the release of the solo album “A,” which has been warmly embraced by fans of ABBA and the pop scene in general. Largely reminiscent of the music that made her group famous, “A” is nostalgic, upbeat and beautiful for fans.

“Random Access Memories” by Daft Punk

Almost certainly the most highly anticipated album of the year, “Random Access Memories” was finally released in May to mass approval. The mysterious French pop duo teased fans with hints and clues, building the hype to a relative craze, and if reviews are to be trusted the album hasn’t disappointed. It’s a bold collection with major collaborations, experimental tracks, and a message to, as the first track is titled, “give life back to music.”

“Girl Who Got Away” by Dido

The popular British pop star’s first album in 5 years is a breath of fresh air to some fans, and a bit of an adjustment for others. Noted for a voice that is both unique and somehow suitable to multiple styles, Dido seems to be adapting to more current styles of “going out” music. Decisions like including a guest verse by rapper Kendrick Lamar are a bit unusual for Dido, but if you’re looking for new pop from an established star, check it out.

“DNA” by Little Mix

For those who like punchy dance pop and have been waiting for a hot new girl group, the UK-based Little Mix certainly won’t disappoint. “DNA” has earned the group more international appeal already, and if the group continues to get bigger this may turn out to be one of the more significant European pop albums of 2013.
