Eric Saade is in the middle of a Nordic tour at the moment, taking in concerts, gigs, and TV appearances. Promoting two new singles, a new EP, and a forthcoming album. And then there’s the small matter of a football tournament that he’s single handedly promoting via the medium of popular song.
One high profile TV appearance he made over the last few weeks was his spot at Norway’s Allsang På Grensen. Sans shades, it was the hearty performance of ‘Coming Home’ that we longed for. One half of it was spent dabbling in the dark arts of the guitar, and the other half excelling in his other great gift – the choreographed dance routine.
And you may think you’ve heard it all with ‘Hotter Than Fire’ before, but think again. A live band version of the song. And that sounds a lot better than it reads. We loved it!
Saade appears to be in an uncertain place in his career at the moment, with Swedish radio stations and singles charts not being as receptive to his new songs as they have been in the past. But so long as he keeps on getting out there and performing like this, then both should be back on board in no time. Still though, there’s an awful lot riding on how good this new album is going to be.
