What’s this? Norwegian newcomer Sofie Fjellvang has gone and released her debut EP – ‘Run’.
What’s on it? The three singles she’s released thus far this year (all of which we’ve raved about on these pages), plus her new single, also titled ‘Run’.
What’s it like? With Kjetil Mørland and Sofie having written all four of the songs together, there’s a definite tone and theme that runs through the EP, making it uniform. That tone and theme is mercifully one of our favourites of the pop genre – overly dramatic megaballads with a fondness for the theatrical. Everything is big, everything is beautiful, and everything is a breaker of heats. As such, it’s an instant keeper for us, with every song forming essential part of an unmissable introduction to a new artist.
More from Sofie? Let’s re-live that Melodi Grand Prix performance, shall we? Yes, let’s.
