A five-song collection from Smith & Thell – with the calibre of their songwriting, that always feels like a lovely lil’ gift, and one to cherish, at that. ‘A Chosen Family’ is their new EP, featuring five unique tunes, each with a little something special to offer. They’ve given us Smith & Thell country pop on ‘Waste Of Time’, Smith & Thell arena pop on ‘Little Alter Boy’, Smith & Thell pensive pop on ‘At Least I Tried’, and Smith & Thell at their most weird and wonderful on ‘UFO’. Plus, there’s the new single ‘I Let The Good Ones Go’ – a gorge ballad with lyrics that let you in to hear their rollercoaster story of gut punches and heart-string tugs. This EP might (might) be the last music we get from Smith & Thell for a while, as Maria from the duo is launching her solo project in September. Her first single will be called ‘Adrian’, and her debut album will follow shortly after.
