Darin is seemingly wrapping up this most recent English-language era of his, and tying it all together in a purple-sequinned bow. On his new EP ‘My Purple Clouds’, he’s grouped together all of this era’s up-tempos (sorry, ‘Holding Me More’) and added two brand-new bops. Both ‘Give You Up’ and ‘Memories’ fall into line with what’s been so great about the likes of ‘Can’t Stay Away’ and ‘Satisfaction’ – banging disco-pop tunes that exude Darin’s newly unleashed flair for the sonically exuberant. We’d have loved his Så Mycket Bättre offering (and current chart smash) ‘What’s The Point‘ to have made the cut too, but we shan’t be greedy here. Not when Darin’s been so generous to us pop fans over the past eighteen months. Case in point:
