Finnish popstar Diandra today releases her brand new single and video (and brand new image too – see above!). It’s ‘Lost’.
Thankfully she’s left behind the r&b balladry that itself left her behind in this year’s Finnish national final for Eurovision. And she’s gone back to embracing her inner dance diva. We say gone back, because she was of course responsible for the phenomenal ‘Outta My Head‘ last year. What a song. It might have been a cover version, but Christ did she make that track her own.
This is arguably the first time we get to hear Diandra as Diandra, since everything from her first album was sort of rush released after her Idol win, and then ‘Colliding Into You’ was her attempt to go to Eurovision. But based on ‘Lost’, we’re looking forward to hearing more from this Diandra. Dancepop with big vocals is the way forward – and we’re pleased that she recognises this too.
