This is a good pop song. ‘Terrified’, the debut solo single from Swedish chap Danny Rossing.
“na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na” repeated infinitely. What more could you want? Well more we get, in the form of a cracking pop chorus too. ‘Terrified’ is a song that clicks straight away, and lends itself well to repeated listenings too, as we’ve discovered to our joy this week.
The best bit is most probably the extended acoustic middle eight. You mightn’t think that anything acoustic could or would work in an otherwise great big pop song, but on this instance it works tremendously. We think you’ll agree too. The piano, the familiar aforementioned “na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na” comes back, and then there’s a hand clap bit too. And then the song comes back, all brassy and everything. Literally, with a brass section.
