Denmark’s Christopher is out with the his new single and video, the latest to be taken from his new ‘Told You So’ album. It’s ‘Mama’. And despite the title, it’s no slushy ode to your elders…
Far from being scared off by the misogyny shitstorm that followed ‘Blurred Lines’ last year, Christopher is seemingly much more interested in getting him some of that attention for himself. And as if ‘Twerk It Like Miley‘ wasn’t enough, the video for ‘Mama’ sees Christopher go into full-on horny sex-pest mode. Although it’s subjective as to whether one would find the sexual attention of a man that looks like Christopher, as pestering.
In any case, the whole thing is sort of saved by the lyrics. A kind of cute twist on the what-will-the-neighbours-say perceived attitude towards bad girls.
And besides – the song is pretty ace anyway. We’d overlook most things for the sake of sublime pop. As would most of Denmark it seems – this is a hit;
