Denmark’s biggest male popstar (we’ve thought about it long and hard and we’re pretty sure that he is at this point in time anyway) Christopher is releasing a Deluxe Edition of his most recent album ‘Told You So’. What this means is that we get a lead single which is guaranteed to be even better than most of what was on that album. That’s just how Deluxe Edition releases go.
That single is ‘CPH Girls’ (which means Copenhagen Girls – sorry if that’s obvious to anyone, but some people just won’t know). It was released last week and went STRAIGHT to number 1 on Danish iTunes. And this morning he premiered the video for it over on MTV Denmark.
It’s an urban jam with a great deal of sax. Down-tempo and beat driven, but we still get to hear Christopher let rip vocally.
The song features Brandon Beal, whom Christopher teamed up earlier this year for a mega smash hit ‘Twerk It Like Miley‘. And it looks quite likely that ‘CPH Girls’ is going to repeat some of that success. Oh, and speaking of success – Christopher last week won the MTV EMA for Best Danish Act. So that’s nice for him.
