Week 2 of Så Mycket Bättre, and that’s all it took for Carola to break out the celestial worship, and more importantly – THE SCHLAGER. Which ironically results in our own celestial worship. So we’re all happy!
It was Orup’s turn to have his songs covered by the assembled cast. And Carola handpicked ‘Sjung Halleluja (och Prisa Gud)’. A song which already had some schlager credentials in Orup’s original, but Carola took them UP!
She stays fairly faithful and honours the original, and then the song just goes and takes flight (towards a Melodifestivalen stage) from the middle eight onwards. This is everything we wanted from Carola’s stint on Så Mycket Bättre. Hallelujah.
