A jolly romp of a song from Swedish duo Cape Lion, aka Oa and Martin. They’re calling it ‘Jennie’.
It’s a glittering and hyper homage to the 90s. The synths have been tuned to disco house, and the vocals have been spliced and diced into an adhd warning symptom. The production is tres magnifique. That Jennie is a fool for letting go of these guys. But chances are, the resulting song is better than her anyway. So there.
It’s the sort of thing that we could well imagine Annie singing, putting on her new EP, and getting a whole internet’s worth of gays into a foaming mess of excitement.
