Such a good tune from Norway.

This is epic and melodic dubstep balladry in its finest form. The melody is almost akin to an 80s stadium rock number. Or maybe that’s just the heavy use of falsetto being put into play. And naturally – it’s those falsetto moments that are the best bits. The whole thing is brill though. Atmospheric to the max, and oh so beautiful along with it. It’s a chiller.

A remix of the song has just been released too, and made the official theme for Oslo Pride 2013. It’s called the SX Summer Mix. Personally, we reckon that it misses the mark somewhat. It’s all going well until the chorus, and then the music sort of jars with the melody of the original. It could have been so amazing, but falls just short at that moment. We’ll stick with the original, takk.

Bjørn Olav Edvardsen is most famous in Norway for competing in Idol (in 2005, the same year as Tone Damli). This is his debut single with Arcteec though.

Below you can listen to both versions in full (if you’re in a hurry, skip to the 1:40 mark in the video of the original – that’s where the song actually starts). And they’ve both been released outside of Norway too.
