Aura Dione faces the mammoth prospect of following up last single ‘Geronimo‘ with something new. She’s doing it with ‘Friends’.
It’s the second single taken from her ‘Before The Dinosaurs’ album, and comes straight after ‘Geronimo’, which was a massive hit in Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland late last year – and will hopefully start to travel around the rest of the world soon.
Fans of ‘Geronimo’ hopefully won’t be expecting ‘Geronimo’ part 2. We did (stupidly), and so were understandably disappointed with ‘Friends’ – at first. But that’s the wrong way to go about. ‘Friends’ is a corker of a track on its own merit, and once you get over the fact that it’s a completely different song to ‘Geronimo’, you might just find yourself enjoying ‘Friends’ equally as much. It’s a down-tempo, beat driven, melodic number. Very sing-a-long, and with Rock Mafia as a featured artist. See, variety IS the spice of life!
Here’s the song in full, plus below that is a live performance of it.
