Anton Ewald has this week released the music video for his current single ‘Close Up’, AND performed it live on TV for the first time too. Let’s take a look at both, shall we?!
Oh, here’s what we wrote about the song itself first time around.
The video sees Anton switch between rescuing the female play thing of a rich brute, and performing the song via some ace choreography that you just know that he came up with himself. But truthfully it’s all about the oh-so modest final two minutes, in which the camera just focuses on Anton standing there, literally Close Up. It’s quite hypnotic in a way.
And on Monday evening, he took to Bingolotto’s annual Christmas Eve Eve gala show, to give the first TV performance of ‘Close Up’ (shame on you, Idol). He also performed a cover of Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ too – because you know you wanna see that.
‘Close Up’ is out now and has been released outside of Sweden too.
