Over the weekend, SVT were a bit amazing and broadcast what was quite frankly a superb televisual event. A whole evening with Lena Philipsson, in which she chatted, joked, and above all – performed the hits.
It was a real showgirl kind of gig. Outfit changes, choreography, dancers, a sit down at the piano, and also a couple of pretty massive guests. Carola dropped by to duet with Lena on the latter’s 80s hit ‘Om Igen’, and Darin joined her to sing ‘Månsken i Augusti’. We also enjoyed the spectacle that was Lena performing a duet with herself – using her Melodifestivalen 1987 performance of ‘Kärleken Är Evig’ as a backdrop. Splendid stuff.
