Today Alex Saidac releases her third single – ‘Proud To Be A Problem’.
We’ve been living with the song for a while now, and it’s been a wonderful relationship. In fact, over time, it’s gone on to become our favourite of Alex’s singles so far. No faint praise when you take into consideration how stonkingly amazing ‘Stay In This Moment’ and particularly ‘We Shine’ are.
Despite being only three tracks in though, ‘Proud To Be A Problem’ is most definitely recognisable as An Alex Saidac Single. All the components of An Alex Saidac Single are there – massive pop chorus, lyrics that reek of attitude, and a production that veers a little into bonkersdom, but has a big pop heart at its core. We’ve in the past compared her sound to that of a Swedish Ke$ha, and we think that that’s still the case here. Although with ‘Proud To Be A Problem’, it’s becoming more apparent that a Swedish version of K$ = a better version of K$.
As for the ‘video’ for the single. Well, there is none – but she’s done something quite different about it. Visit this website to have a play around with it. And you can listen to the song in full here;
