What’s this? The brand-new EP from Swedish artist Violet Days. ‘Lovers & Losers’.
Anything on it, I know? Three excellent singles that we’ve already given much love to on here – ‘Ink’, ‘Afterparty’ and ‘All I Know’.
Tunes! What else? An intro, a stripped-back cover of Tame Impala’s ‘Let It Happen’, and two brand-new songs – ‘Libertines Jacket’ and ‘Lovers & Losers’, the former of which is awesome and would have served well as a single in its own right.
What does Violet Days say? “I called the EP Lovers & Losers because sometimes I just don´t know if a relationship is right or not. So, the EP is about the journey and discoveries in relationships. All of the songs represent different stages of feelings that I’ve gone through over the last few years. The first stage is the butterflies stage in the beginning of a relationship when you first meet someone. The next stage is feeling lonely or taken for granted in the relationship, which then next leads to feeling confused, angry and sad. Following that, the stage where you lose that someone, and struggle to get over it. Then, the last stage is finally being fine with it, and accepting the relationship for what it was.”
More from Violet Days? This is her second EP. 12 months ago she released the also superb ‘Made In My Head‘ EP.
