After debuting at the end of last year with the brilliant ‘Curious‘ (which we’re still giving plenty of spins to), Swedish group Swayday are back with their debut EP. It’s ‘Time Of Our Lives’, released over the weekend. The boys have done the decent thing and stuck with the sound and style that they impressed with so much on their first single. And so the EP contains plenty of funked up and souled out pop tracks, the other big highlight of which is ‘Gravity’.
The whole thing was written by the chaps themselves. That’s singer Arthur Öhman, brothers Alexander and Gabriel Gustafsson – both instrumentalists and with skills in songwriting and arrangement, multi-instrumentalist Tobias Wermeling – with his bass-playing style centered in Swayday’s arrangements, and drummer Sixten Roström.
Five guys presenting five tracks in a wholly cohesive sound and style – it’s a smashing debut EP.
