Today sees the release of the brand new English language album by Danish superstar Medina. It’s called ‘We Survive’, and follows the recent release of her single and video of the same name. And it’s AMAZING. As well as ‘We Survive’, it’s jammed full of other highlights which we’d recommend. Relentless electro bangers ‘Someone New’ and ‘Grass’ were love-at-first listen, as was synth ballad ‘For U’. What you think is going to be the album’s second synth ballad – ‘By Your Side’ – delightfully turns into a house anthem in time for the chorus. And perhaps our second favourite song on there after the title track, is the (lyrically) Gaga-esque ‘Liquid Courage’. Plus, fans of her superb Danish hit from 2014 ‘Giv Slip‘, will be pleased to hear the English language version of it on here – ‘Let Go’ (and it’s not lost any of its magic in translation). It’s a brilliant album from Denmark’s finest. And would you just LOOK at that album artwork.
