Swedish artist Linnea Henriksson has got herself a brand new album out – her third. She’s gone down the self titled route this time, when thinking of a name for it. And we get an album of ten new synthpop tracks. Big highlights for us are the album’s first single, and its most recent single ‘Säga Mig’ and ‘Tänker På Dig’ respectively. Without a doubt two of the best synthpop tunes released this year. Also packing an almighty bunch is the beautifully written and produced ballad ‘Det är inte alltid det går’. And ‘SMS is another one we’re gonna be coming back to lots, like we have with October single ‘Vadå’. Plus – if you’ve ever fancied hearing what Tove Styrke sounds like singing in Swedish – she features on ‘Andas’.
All in all, a cohesive and compact album that serves as a soothing helping of well crafted synthpop from start to finish. Have yourself a listen;
