What’s this? It’s the debut album from Swedish artist ILY. Her first collection of songs is titled ‘Neurotic’.
What’s on it? 9 tracks. Most of which have been released at various stages throughout this year, leading up this momentous occasion. And all topped off by the brand-new single ‘Never Ever’.
What’s the new single like? She’s held back one of the bigger pop tunes until last, seemingly. Whereas the rest of the album veers delightfully from dance to electro and back again – ‘Never Ever’ instantly stands out as potentially a perfect radio-hit in the making. The type of tune it’s not difficult to fall for instantly, and one which we already know we’ll be coming back to a lot.
Other highlights? We’re also still devoting plenty of time to ‘California Gold’, ‘Holiday’ and the album’s title track ‘Neurotic’. And as one final pop treat, the album ends on her cover of Tina Turner’s iconic ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’.
What does ILY say? “I’m so proud to be able to release this album because it’s been a journey. The songs have been made from a creative playground without any real agenda at first. I’m so happy to finally be sharing this candy
bag of pop songs.”
