Here’s a brilliant new tune that’s just come out in Finland.
It’s ‘Hyperventilating’, courtesy of Ronya. She sort of looks like Tulisa Contostavlos, doesn’t she?!
ANYWAY. Christ, this tune is something special. The verses are like Adele’s level of heartbreak taken over by a more morbid Evanescence level of doom and gloom. And then the chorus is sympathy inducing despair. It’s gloriously dark and dramatic, and despite her young age, Ronya carries it off tremendously well. Still, it’s hard to believe that the girl behind this great song is the same girl behind last year’s ‘Annoying‘ – a track which opened with the lyrics “herpes and hemorrhoids, these are the things that you remind me of“.
