Swedish pop gent Evan is back with a new album ‘The Beauty Of Your Face’, and with it a new single ‘Out Of Control’.
Evan was responsible for one of our favourite releases in 2011, thanks to the incredible SoundFactory remix of his ‘Fall From Grace’ single that came out.
Typically, we were hoping for something equally as mind blowing with ‘Out Of Control’, which it of course couldn’t live up to. But once the unfair expectations had been lifted off of it, and we revisited it for what it was – a pop song rather than a poppers o-clock remix – then yes, it’s actually more enjoyable than we initially gave it credit for.
It’s a piano driven, soft dance track, with high male vocals. Not unlike the recent Morten Harket singles that we’ve been getting quite excited about over the last couple of months. Evan’s ‘Out Of Control’ also has the great pop chorus with a falsetto vocal coming to the fore.
Still – we wouldn’t say no to that SoundFactory remix!
