Now that she’s conquered her native Denmark yet again with the intensely amazing album ‘For Altid’ (available to buy for those outside of Denmark, from our online store here!), Medina is all set to commence her international success once more with some English language re-recordings of her recent material.
Naturally, the first single up for translation is the album’s title track and highlight, ‘For Altid’. It’s released in Germany first of all – the country that was most receptive to her last English language album, ‘Welcome To Medina’.
As with last time, fans will always be split between whether they prefer the original Danish recording or the new English version. Personally, we’re much too eternally in love with ‘For Altid’ to fully appreciate ‘Forever’. But if this is what it takes for the song to become the global straddling hit it deserves, then so be it. And for that reason – “it’s you and me forever, I’m always gonna be right here“!;
