Look at this new pair we’ve just stumbled upon!

They’re Planet R, aka Louise Marchione and Elin Andersson, who have just released their debut EP, ‘Glömda Drömmar’. And it’s kind of excitingly good. They describe their sound as “electronic dreampop with melancholic undertones, inspired by the eighties“. And after listening to all four songs on the EP, we’d say yes – they’ve got that summed up nicely.

‘Kärleken (det var då)’ is the lead single, and you can listen to that here. Plus, they’ve also uploaded the other songs to YouTube too, so you can stream ‘Faller‘, ‘De Leenda Gatorna‘ and our own personal highlight, ‘Juliette‘.

In truth though, our favourite thing about this whole new treasure chest of tunes, is the remix of ‘Kärleken (det var då)’ that appeared online this week. Although actually, they’re insisting it be called a ReFix, rather than a remix. Very well then. It doesn’t actually sound too different from the original, everything has just been ramped up a tad. It sounds like if Sally Shapiro had been crossed with Mimi Oh. That’s a fabulous idea on paper, and it’s been executed quite fabulously too;
