Sophia Somajo gives us another glimpse into her new guise and moniker of Soso – releasing her second track in four months – a cover of Cody ChesnuTT’s ‘My Women, My Guitars’.
It’s an inspired cover. A woman singing that her “breakdown is on the way” and that she’s got “a dick full of blood and a wide open heart“. Yikes! The song opens sounding like an early Björk song. And goes on to reveal a rousing chorus that sounds like not so much a call to arms, more like a happy acceptance of defeat – but nevertheless making it sound anthemic anyway.
