If you’re looking for a glimpse into which domestic songstress is currently ruling the pop scene in Finland, look no further than Chisu. Her latest album ‘Kun Valaistun’ has spent the last ten weeks in the top 5 since its release – nine of those weeks inside the top 3, and four of those weeks at number 1. And you only need to take a listen to her current single ‘Kohtalon Oma’ to understand why.
It’s a lulling dance pop hit. Subdued, but still very much melody driven – and very instant at that. We’re jotting it down as a sonic cross between her fellow Finnish pop icon Jenni Vartiainen and Sweden’s Robyn. We’re also jotting it down as being extremely good. And as such – here we are scribing about it!
