The delightful Sonja Aldén is back, and will release a new single in Sweden on January 11th. But you can have a listen to it right here and right now!
It’s called ‘Närmre’ (Closer) and it’s mid-tempo ballad. Not exactly lightyears away from what she’s done before, but different enough for it to feel like an appropriate progression from when she released her last single way back in Spring 2010. Composed by Swedish songwriting supremos Bobby Ljunggren and Henrik Wikström, it’s a beautiful and beat heavy rouser of a song – the very definition of “lovely”! It’s pretty much what you want from a Sonja Aldén track in 2012 – there are no surprises here, just pleasant listening.
The single’s release OF COURSE comes before her BIG comeback to the Swedish stage a month later – in Melodidestivalen 2012. There she’ll compete with the song ‘I Din Himmel’. We spoke to her about it a few weeks back, and we’ll be uploading our chat about it, to these very pages in the coming weeks.
