We missed the weekend’s Sommarkrysset action as we weren’t in Sweden. But we’ve finally had a catch up of what was on offer – Sanna Nielsen and Eric Amarillo.
Sanna gave a performance of her current single ‘Can’t Stop Love’. She looked amazing, as though she’d taken inspiration from Sandy at the end of Grease. However, and this is probably a first for Sanna, it DID sound like she was slightly off key throughout – struggling to find herself within the song, and never quite making it before it had finished. Oh well, she had the chance to redeem herself with a second performance. And redeem herself she did! With a cover of Robyn’s ‘Be Mine’. Our favourite Sanna cover since she tackled Celine’s ‘That’s The Way It Is’ on one of the summer shows last year.
Eric Amarillo gave what was his first TV performance of the proper club version of ‘Om Sanningen Ska Fram’ (the Allsång På Skansen performance was the slower edit). So it was quite nice to see him finally ‘rock out’ to the song that we all now know and love. Including the extra excitement of seeing him take out and play with his big, fat, white instrument on stage – an almighty keytar!
