We were introduced to this masterpiece of Swedish electro music this morning via the scandipop Facebook forum (you can click on the link and request to join, if you wish).
It’s a hyper swirl of bleeping synths and ethereal vocals – carefully blended together to sound as menacing, yet as commercial as possible. It sounds like it’s the younger, more precocious sister of Röyksopp and Robyn’s ‘The Girl & The Robot’. Although it’s bright enough to also be compared to something which could have been found on any of the trilogy of Robyn’s ‘Body Talk’ albums also. In other words – if you like Robyn at her best, you should pretty much like this too.
The google-search unfriendly moniker of ‘Chart Music’ doesn’t seem to have much written about it online, except for the below soundcloud stream and a youtube audio which was uploaded over a month ago, with no text, no comments, and a measly 36 views. CRIMINAL! However, we do know that the gentleman behind this project is in fact Roger Gunnersson of Le Prix, who recently helped out on the latest Johan Agebjörn record.
