Melodifestivalen was dealt a blow yesterday as its popular presenter Kristian Luuk decided not to return to the show in 2009 and signed up to present his own show for SVT instead. It’s not unusual for a presenter to leave the show so soon, after all, most presenters only stay on for one year as opposed to Kristian’s two successive years. But it will still be a disappointment to many, as he was well suited to the job and brought the dry sense of humour and wit that is required for such a camp spectacle. He was Terry Wogan if you will – but with humour that was actually still relevant.
Aftonbladet have a poll on their website inviting readers to vote for whom they would like to replace Kristian; http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesliv/tv/article3495452.ab
