A new song from Annie.

First Margaret Berger and now Annie. New music from both of our two favourite Norwegian electropostrels in one day?!

This is almost too much to handle. We can’t cope!

But we’re going to try.

Ok, here goes…..

A new tune appeared online this morning from none other than ANNIE, of ‘Chewing Gum’, ‘Heartbeat’, and ‘I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me’ fame. It’s called ‘Crazy For You’ and we suspected that we were gonna like it even before we listened to it. Not just because it’s by Annie, but also because it’s credited as Designer Drugs featuring Annie. Lest we forget, the last time that these two got together, we got the phenomenal piece of art that is the Designer Drugs remix of Annie’s ‘Anthonio’. This new track ‘Crazy For You’ sounds a lot like that. Perhaps a little less manic – and we’re not saying that that’s a good thing or a bad thing, just a thing. ‘Crazy For You’ is a bit more pop and mainstream in its electronic state, rather than that hardcore five minutes of rave that went before it. But it’s still very much on its way to a rave. And who can blame it, with Annie as an accomplice to the evening’s capers!

Heaven knows when we’ll get a brand new album from Annie, but ‘Crazy For You’ is a suitabe and satisfactory stopgap until then.
