What’s this? Swedish newcomer Phelly is back with a brand-new single – her fourth. She’s out with ‘Dansa Som Madonna’.
What’s it like? Her fourth single, and quite probably her best one yet! If ‘Dansa Som Madonna’ were to be compared with a Madonna era, it would ’80s Madonna. It’s got the neon synths, and it’s got the timeless pop chorus that is going to be living rent-free in the minds of those lucky enough to encounter it over the coming months.
What does Phelly say? “The song came about when I was so tired and frustrated waiting for an answer. It describes a situation that I think many have experienced. That we wait and believe that it will be resolved with one person. But the longer we wait, the worse we feel. ‘Dance like Madonna’ is the song where everything is turned right and gives you the energy but also the courage to look ahead. It’s time to dance like Madonna!”
