What’s this? The Isle Of You ladies are back with their first single in what feels like an age. This is their new tune ‘Cool Without You’.
What’s it like? An experimental take on pop-orientated electronica that’s sonically quite different from what they’ve done before, while maintaining that Isle Of You stamp of quality that we’ve all come to appreciate from them.
What do they say? “This song was written during a time when we wanted to break free but didn’t really have the guts to. Breakups always mean saying goodbye to not only a person you loved, but also a part of yourself, and that’s terrifying. Manifesting the feeling of freedom you get once you realize that you turned out fine, we wrote ‘Cool Without You’.”
Written by? The two girls plus Joakim Buddee, who also produced it.
