What’s this? New music from Swedish pop darling Tove Styrke. This is her latest single ‘Start Walking’, plus its rather camptastic dansband-themed music video.
Camptastic, you say. With the music to match? Why, yes actually. It’s her most pop orientated tune in quite some time. A beat-driven, ’80s-influenced banger from which we’re already deriving plenty of joy. It’s good to hear her doing stuff like this. And we’d love for her to continue in this direction.
What does Tove say? “I’m obsessed with this song. It is up-tempo with a sad lyric, which is among the best combos I know. It’s about a person who knows that a relationship is over and about how much it sucks to have to be the one who actually says thank you and goodbye.”
Written by? Tove herself, along with Caroline Ailin, Pablo Bowman, Peter Rycroft and Sly.
More from Tove? This summer she made her comeback with ‘Mood Swings‘.
