What’s this? New music from an artist from Denmark who is becoming increasingly more essential with every new release – BBYBITES. This is her latest single ‘Pleaser’.
What’s it like? A fierce slice of disco fabulosity that has seemingly made it its motivation in life to ignite either a fire on the dance floor or a sense of empowerment in your heart.
What does BBYBITES say? “‘Pleaser’ reflects being a woman in her mid-20s who has spent most of her life pleasing others over herself. It is, on the one hand, a statement that I am on my way away from the pleaser part of my life, but it is also the depiction of a process of detachment that does not come easily to me. It is really cool that women learn to say no and take care of themselves, but because I am bottled up with the fact that I must first and foremost be nice and please others, it also throws me into an identity crisis.”
Written by? The artist herself, along with Maria Apetri and Rasmus Søegren.
More from BBYBITES? We’re still giving plenty of spins to the absolute tune that she released at the start of the summer – ‘Take Me Hard‘.
