SVT announced just now that Marie Serneholt and Rickard Olsson are the two presenters for Melodifestivalen 2011!
We’re obviously delighted about and are huge fans of former A*Teens singer Marie. She does have this highly watchable star quality to her, so it’ll be enjoyable seeing her on our screen for six weeks. Plus, it’s also interesting given that her former A*Teens bandmate, Sara Lumholdt, is competing in the same contest. Back in 2009 when Marie herself was competing, Sara made some rather bitchy comments on her blog about Marie’s live vocal capabilities. Will there be any off-hand remarks, or at the very least, tell-tale facial expressions from Marie’s side when she introduces Sara’s participation in February?!
Rickard Olsson is one of the most experienced and well known television presenters in Sweden. But he’s never recorded anything like ‘Upside Down’, ‘Halfway Round The World’ or ‘Closer To Perfection’, so we’re not AS interested in him just this minute!
