What’s this? Loreen is back! With her first original material in four years, and her first original Swedish material in like, ever. On Friday she released new single ‘Sötvattentårar’, and yesterday she released a specially recorded live performance video for it.
What does that mean? Fresh Water Tears.
What’s it like? Clocking in at only 2:38, ‘Sötvattentårar’ is a short but sweet tune on which Loreen turns up both the tempo and the melody more than she has done since ‘Paper Light’. Probably her best attempt at balancing what she wants to do vs what the masses want her to do – if the rest of her new music is as good as this, then everybody’s gonna be happy!
