What’s this? Måns Zelmerlöw has released his brand-new single ‘Come Over Love’, which he premiered at the Melodifestivalen final last night.
He premiered it at the Melodifestivalen final?! How did he get a promo slot that huge?! Well he hosted the show, so fair is fair.
Gotcha. What’s the song like? A simmering pop ballad that builds and bursts into anthemic territory. It’s fair to say that Måns has been carefully cultivating his own sound for the past couple of years now, and ‘Come Over Love’ feels like the embodiment of the artists he is today, and – most importantly – the artist he wants to be.
What does Måns say? “‘Come Over Love’ is a powerful song about feeling alone on the inside but having a hard, seemingly emotionless, exterior. You are bad at asking for help, but you do need it and you want it.”
Written by? Måns himself, along with John Callum Stewart, Ryan McCullen and Sam Merrifield. Sam also produced it, along with Moh Denebi.
More from Måns? Last month he released the duet ‘Circles & Squares‘, with Polina Gagarina.
