Well this has been a long time Kingdom Coming! There’s leaving us wanting more in the wake of greatness, and then there’s leaving us utterly parched. Thanks Anna. But today she finally follows up ‘Kingdom Come’ with new single ‘Thelma & Louise’.
What’s it like? Epic, beautiful, string-laden, country-tinged Scandipop. Or Scandi-tinged country pop, take your pick. Either way, the composition and delivery of ‘Thelma & Louise’ totally solidifies Anna Bergendahl’s ascension into the top tier of Swedish artists. She’s become go-to reliable for continually releasing The Bops. And this new single is up there in the good-enough-to-win-Melodfestivalen stakes, like a couple of other songs she’s released recently.
One could say her Kingdom has Cometh. One *could*, if one were that way inclined, yes. We suppose.
Written by? Anna herself, along with Fredrik Sonefors and Jimmy Jansson.
You can find ‘Thelma & Louise’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
