This week saw the 2020 season of Allsång På Skansen wrap up, with host Sanna Nielsen fronting her 40th show AND announcing that she’d be returning as host in 2021. Obviously the 2020 season was a summer of shows like no other. Though really, the only difference – albeit a big difference for a show like Allsång – was the missing element of the audience. SVT still managed to book quite genuinely the biggest names in the Swedish music industry, to perform some of the most well-known hits of the year so far, however. And on that iconic Skansen stage, too.
We’ve put together a collection of the absolute best performances from this summer’s shows – 13 in total. Though we’ve left off some of the artists (namely this year’s Melodifestivalen top three of The Mamas, Dotter and Anna Bergendahl) who were lucky enough to get booked for both Allsång På Skansen AND Lotta På Liseberg, and were therefore included in our round-up of the summer’s best Lotta På Liseberg performances earlier in the week.
Oh, and spare an hour for Lena Philipsson, who got bestowed the honour this year of the annual hour-long special on the Allsång stage all to herself. You can watch that right here.
Here’s the pick of the Swedish pop crop, brought to us by SVT this summer;
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Agnes – Goodlife
Just over ten years on from her international success with ‘Release Me’, Agnes is back with another dance! love! pop! era.
Darin – En Säng Av Rosor
A mere week before coming out publicly as gay, Darin sings Sweden a love song.
Petra Marklund – Panna Mot Panna (Forever Young)
Sonically it’s a remarkable return to form for the artist, and visually it’s probably the best performance on the Skansen stage this summer. A moment.
Zara Larsson – Love Me Land
Yep, they went and secured Sweden’s biggest international pop star.
Danny Saucedo feat. Get Up – Ere Bara Jag
So yeah, we’re not actually into Danny’s new single, so haven’t featured it on the site before now. But Danny Saucedo live is something worth watching, whatever he’s singing. So here we are.
Viktor Leksell – Svag
Not just the biggest hit of the year so far in Sweden, but already the most streamed Swedish language song of all time on Spotify. For real.

Rhys – Better Break My Heart
The much-anticipated comeback single from Rhys has not disappointed.
Estraden – Dansar Med Mig Själv
The electro-folk balladeers go semi rave-up on us. We LOVE that this was the song they chose to bring to Skansen with them.
Miss Li – Komplicerad
It’s staggering to see that with all the success behind her, Miss Li is right now in what could arguably be considered her imperial phase. But yep, here it is.
Anis Don Demina – Vem E Som Oss
The Melodifestivalen roof-raiser takes his act to the highest stage in Stockholm.
Zikai – Champagne For Breakfast
We’ve been a fan of Zikai since her debut last year, and this summer she got to promote the release of her first EP in the best way possible.
Myra Granberg – Tills Mitt Hjärta Går Under
A super-talented newcomer that has made her arrival known in 2020 – a fact cemented by this performance.
Shirley Clamp – I Will Always Love You
Because amongst all the up-and-comers, there’s always room for an iconic standard peforming an iconic standard.
