What’s this? Dreamy, out-of-this-world Icelandic synthpop. ‘Auðn’ is the new single and video from Icelandic artist Brynja, in collaboration with Icelandic-Austrian duo Oehl.
What does ‘Auðn’ mean? Desolation. Which you will understand once you hear the song!
What does it sound like? It’s actually a souped-up cover version of Oehn’s ‘Neue Wildnis‘. This new version takes the hints of galactica contained within the original, and runs lightyears with it.
Written by? Oehl (Ariel Oehl and Hjörtur Hjörleifsson) plus Marco Kleeauer.
More from Brynja? Earlier this year she released the song ‘Light Headed‘.
You can find ‘Auðn’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
