What’s this? Icelandic artist Greta Salóme has released a brand-new single – this is ‘Án þín’
What does that mean? Without You.
What’s it like? A moody and atmospheric cover of the Trúbrot hit from 1969, which was in turn an Icelandic cover of ‘My World Is Empty Without You’ by The Supremes. As well as performing this new version, Greta also plays the strings that you hear in the new recording.
Written by? Lyrics by Þorsteinn Eggertsson, production by Emil Lei.
More from Greta? She’s also released a music video for the song, filmed in the gorgeous south of Iceland. In it, we see her in front of the magnificent waterfall Skógafoss, and on the Reynisfjara black sand beach.
