Who? A twenty-year-old singer and songwriter from Norway, who first found fame via The Voice. She cites Sigrid, Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande as her big influences, so we know she’s clued into the whole pop thing already – which is always a great start.
What’s she out with? ‘Disqualified’ – the third single she’s released since her exit from The Voice.
What’s it like? A relentlessly chugging electropop banger, pure and simple. Catchy af, not least because of the trick she deploys to continues to attempt to spell the title of her song time and time again, before giving up every time and just going and singing the rest of it.
Written by? Frida herself, along with Erlend Hunshammer Moen.
More from Frida? Last year, she released ‘Battlefield‘.
You can find ‘Disqualified’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
